Noah Podolefsky is an innovator and thought leader with over 15 years in the battery energy storage systems (BESS) space. Noah has helped shape the energy storage industry as a co-founder and leader of cutting-edge BESS companies, and by providing skilled advisory services to early to mid-stage energy storage startups. After earning his Ph.D. in physics, Noah helped found Viridi, where he served for over a decade as Chief Technology Officer, guiding the company in designing, building and bringing to market lithium-ion BESS and electrifying heavy construction equipment. During his tenure at Viridi, Dr. Podolefsky personally designed or led development and commercialization of numerous products delivered to major electric utilities, construction firms and equipment rental companies. He established and led Viridi’s Boulder-based product development and innovation center, which designs advanced BESS and li-ion construction equipment. More recently, Noah has moved into the consulting and advisory space, where he leverages his extensive knowledge of the BESS industry and business strategy to help energy storage startups thrive in rapidly evolving markets.
